Sawatdee News

Sawatdee began in 1983 as the first Thai restaurant in the five-state area. Minnesotans were intrigued by the sweet, sour, bitter and salty taste combinations found in authentic Thai cooking. Over twenty one years and seven locations later, Sawatdee has become a twin cities favorite. Each location offers slightly different menus to reflect the preferences of people in each area.

Thailand Flood Relief
Thank you everyone who supported us during our Thailand Flood Relief dining fundraiser. We raised $2,500 for the Thai Red Cross! On November 15th and 16th, 2011, all Sawatdee locations donated 10% of dine-in sales to support flood victims. The floods began in July and have devastated large parts of the central Chao Phraya river basin, killed nearly 400 people and disrupting the lives of more than two million.
